Okay, I'm heading back to the couch to take care of this nasty cold/bronchitis that's kept me down since Thursday.

Woo Hoo, GO Bah-sten!

  3. Angie, I'm not even sure I know what sport the Red Sox are - but well done them!

You sound poorly: straight to bed with a hot water bottle for you.

  4. Hope the bronchitis clears up soon, hon. Sounds nasty. The couch is definitely the place for you, until you recover

  5. Well, once upon a time I lived in Montreal and supported the Expos (not that this helped them in any way). Now that I am in the UK, I am more neutral (although my son plays in an amateur team in the UK). I used to work for a computer company based in Minneapolis (a long time ago), so I am also interested in the Twins.
Hope the nasty cough goes away soon, and good luck to the Red Sox.

  6. Cheers, hellojed!

Lane, thanks for the Red Sox vote.

JJ, they are a baseball team from Boston :) The hot water bottle sounds lovely, with some tea and a book.

Hullaballoo, thanks for the well wishes. I'm heading back to the couch very soon...

Pierre, a one-time baseball fan, eh? Baseball is not as big in England, it seems. Do you watch cricket now? I never could understand the rules of cricket, even though it's supposedly similar.

Unfortunately, I think I'll have to let this cough run it's course. Thanks for the well wishes, everyone!

  7. Hi Angie. My sons tend to watch football (i.e. soccer). But there isn't much of that on TV because it's mostly on subscription channels (as is cricket). I don't understand cricket either.
To the best of my knowledge there is no professional baseball played in the UK at all.
