It's official. I have a new cobbler. He managed to salvage my shoes, and although they do not look new exactly, you wouldn't notice the difference if you didn't know where to look. And he saved me $90. They had free tootsie roll pops, so naturally I grabbed one when I left. I found myself looking to see if my wrapper had the star, and behold it does! What a return to childhood. Remember when you got the star on your wrapper and that entitled you to a free tootsie pop...I wonder if it still works? Not that it matters since they're free at the cobbler, but still, I wonder.

you might have to refer this miracle worker to Kristen. she has at least one pair of shoes whose heels are toast and need fixing if they can ever be worn again...

Yes, but could he fix the totally worn-out pointed toes as well? The snow was not very kind to my poor boots this winter...

Eww, I don't like cherry, I got watermelon!
He may be able to fix them. He could tell you when you bring them in, it's at least worth a shot. He cleaned up all my lovely scratches and scuffs too, which unfortunately I cannot blame on Drew. ;)
