'ello Love

I've been getting anxious for my trip home this weekend. Recently I started dreaming about people who I haven't seen for years and was rehashing old memories forgotten. Perhaps going to my sister's high school graduation is surfacing memories of mine eight years ago. Perhaps it's because going home is always so stressful. We have lots of family to see (divorced parents on both sides), old friends, and generally at least one event planned every day of the week, though usually many more. I love my hometown, but I rarely get to go to the places I want to visit because our plans are so booked. I also get anxious because I tend to run into people who I haven't seen for years. I like seeing old friends, but it can be uncomfortable running into people, especially when they ask the dreaded "what are you doing now" question. I'm very proud of what I'm doing, but also very shy about it (outside of the blog and about four friends), especially with people who know very little about me. I've spent much of the day doing loads of laundry in preparation for packing, and of course I'm worrying about what to wear because if I do run into people who haven't seen me in years, I want to look as good as I did all those years ago (right!). *sigh* I wonder if I will have to go through this every time I go home. Listening to memory music now...

Oh and I got some good editing done today. I should be able to finish chapter two before we leave Thursday (fingers and toes crossed!).

Love the new look of your blog! Good luck on finishing chapter two...I know exactly what you mean about mixing feelings when bumping into old friends, I hate talking about my novel to other people...a good wardrobe helps like you say!

Thanks, hellojed! Must start planning the wardrobe now, I think...
