Chapters and other tension

I'm trying to get back into the swing of things, but I'm still recovering from our trip, and chapter five has me stumped. I started writing it before leaving on holiday and was struggling with it then, but now I'm even more stuck. I feel like I wrote myself into a corner, and not a very nice one at that. I haven't written a word today - I keep staring at the page, trying to figure out how to fix this corner I wrote myself into, but the only solution I can see is starting the chapter over from the beginning, and I don't feel like it. Hmph. On the bright side, I discovered my new favorite thing: a lavender-filled neck pillow, which you heat and then place on your neck to relax the muscles. It works like a charm, and to top it off, mine is a pretty leopard print. Rawr!

Angie, put the cushion over your eyes so that you can't see the corner you're in. Then carry on writing the next bit. That's the good thing about corners: they're quite small.

Oooh, I love those wheaty/lavender cushions. They are gorgeous. I'd need my air con on really low if I heated one of those up in the microwave. Sweltering.

It'll come. Could you skip the chapter and keep writing the bits of story you do know?
Love the leopard print. I couldn't live without my hot wheat bags but they aren't half as glam looking:-)

Love the leopard cushion. Hope you get out of the corner

Why don't you try some yoga to help you relax? ;-)

Jen, good idea, relaxing for the eyes and the mind! Luckily this corner was ridiculously small (part of the problem), but I've backed out and rewritten it.

JJ, hmm, I bet it would be too sweltering to use one in Thailand. Bummer, they are so lovely.

Lane, I tried skipping it, but I stressed out because that's how I got off track before. I just needed to rewrite and didn't want to, but it's done now. Yay!
It is a glam little neck pillow - gotta keep my writerly life exciting. ;)

Alix, the corner has been exited thanks to some relaxing thinking with the neck cushion!

Kris, pfft! Perhaps I should take the neck cushion to yoga...anything could help at this point. ;)
