Continuous blogging (or is it blagging?)

...for 30 days, at least. When I signed up to post every day this month, I forgot that I would be on vacation this weekend, so you should expect some very quick posts from DC. I'm posting on location, don't you feel special? Too bad I can't load the photos from the camera directly to my laptop so you can see pictures. Also, Thanksgiving will be a bit of a stretch. "Excuse me mom, my readers need me to post a blog today...I'll be back for the turkey in one minute." I suppose I can always talk about the tasty pies to make you non-observers jealous. It's the least I can do.

After all that pumpkin carving, we didn't receive one trick or treater last night, which means we're stuck with the two bags of candy I bought for the occasion. Great. (Okay, okay, it's 1.5 bags. Husband reached them before Halloween). Husband is pleased at least.

Bring along a dictaphone and do spoken word posts! Enjoy the mountain of candy.

I thought that the whole idea - you buy a quantity of sweets, and eat the unused ones at the end of the evening. The time you spent decorating wasn't wasted if it helped to make the area nicer.
Thank you for making the effort to write for us during your travels.
Have a good time.

Ooh, I didn't sign up for that reason Angie (am I chicken?). I'm away in southern Thailand for four days and I don't know whether I'll be able to post from there or not!

Yes, please post about Thanksgiving food. Yum.

Good luck with the posting! I'd forgotten about Thanksgiving when I'll be away too, hopefully somewhere with wireless. Have fun in DC this weekend, it is such a great city I love living here.

Hellojed, the thought of spoken word posts terrifies me! I'm trying to avoid the candy, but it's so good!

Pierre, it is the idea, I've just shed a few pounds and don't want to gain it all back with sweets! You're right, the pumpkin does look mighty spiffy out there.
I'm just glad someone out there will take the time to read my writing efforts! Cheers. :)

JJ, unfortunately I didn't think of it, but I don't mind. They might be short and/or pre-planned posts. It's a good way to make me honest about the new writing goal...
Thanksgiving food posts coming up in (about) 3 weeks, then!

Alix, hmm, my mom doesn't have wireless either, though the mother-in-law does...guess I'll have to plan well!
I'm excited for this weekend. I've only been to DC once, but I loved it and I'm looking forward to exploring it further.

I love the word 'mom'. Does 'mum' make you smile too? Remind me when thanksgiving is. November?
Great word count:-)

Lane, I love the word mum. When I stayed in England I was in a homestay and I called the woman my 'house mum', but I think my mom would find it odd if I suddenly started calling her that. :) The last Thursday in Nov (of the last full week, so Nov 22 this year).
