Lights, Tree, Action

I tried to wait, really I did, but I couldn't resist the urge. Must be all that planning and shopping over the last few weeks. I put up the Christmas tree and all the Christmas decorations. I wanted to wait until December 1st, but all this present-buying has made me festive. Now our place matches the mood.

I asked hubby to turn on a Christmasy movie while we decorated, but all he found was Armageddon, and I'm embarrassed to say that friggin movie makes me cry every single time. I don't know why, but somehow knowing what is going to happen makes me cry before it happens. I'm the nerd who balled in the theater while watching it, but ended up snickering during Titanic when a person hit the propeller. I think there's something wrong with me. But, hey, it's festive here.

You need Santa Claus the movie. I love it!

We have our tree up, too! It's tiny and artificial, but it makes me feel festive still. And we have lights on our little apartment porch and stockings on our mantle. Now, if I can just inspire myself to wrap some gifts early (um, right).

Lane, oh dear, sorry to make you feel behind, but keep in mind I have no kiddies to take care of.

My sense of humour is indeed warped. ;)

Helen, oh I love that one too, I should rent it to get festive!

Kristen, oops, did I not mention I started wrapping yesterday too? The Christmas bug has hit hard. ;) Yay for fake trees...you've seen our 'modern' Ikea fake. At least they don't bring spiders in like our 1st real tree did. *shudders*

Hullaballoo, I'm sure that will bring you as much Christmas spirit as Armageddon. ;) Enjoy!
