Now this looks good

Revolutionary Road, the novel by Richard Yates, has been on my wish list for awhile, but I think I might have to bump it up in the queue so I can read it before this movie comes out!

Well well. That DOES look good. Looks as if we have an addition to our must-view holiday movie list.

I saw a trailer for that over at Trashionista - it looks great. The book is available here so I'm going to go and get it. I hope the film will be released here too.

You might enjoy my memoir in linked essays, which includes reminiscences of Richard Yates as well as my life in editing PLOUGHSHARES, teaching, and in marathon training: SAFE SUICIDE. See http://www.amazon.com/SAFE-SUICIDE-DeWitt-Henry/dp/1597091006/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1206201265&sr=1-1 .
But above all, enjoy REVOLUTIONARY ROAD, the novel; Yates's COLLECTED STORIES; Blake Bailey's biography, A TRAGIC HONESTY; and the website,http://www.richardyates.org/

That does look really good. I'd not heard about the film so thanks for sharing. I think me and the girlies will be going to see that. Oh and Kate and Leo reunited! - Fab!

Thanks
Kat :-)

m&t, yes! I love them both and the adaptation looks great.

Kristen, our holiday viewing list does seem to be growing doesn't it? Ah well, I love Friday nights at the theater followed by my favorite coffeeshop. :)

JJ, I've heard great things about the book. And now I have an excuse to buy it too. :) I definitely want to read it before watching the film.

Dewitt, thanks for visiting and welcome. Your memoir sounds intriguing. Ploughshares is a fantastic journal. It's interesting that you're at Emerson - I actually started the MA program there 5 years ago, but unfortunately had to quit (my husband couldn't stay with the job market), but I loved the school. I'm also a runner and ran my first marathon 3 years ago.
Thanks for the reading recommendations. :)

Kat, it looks like it'll be a great night out. Unfortunately now we have to wait a few months for the release.
